Les Urbaines aux Jumeaux
Les Urbaines festival invites you to a week-end dedicated to emerging artistic practices, with some forty-odd projects happening free of charge between Lausanne and Renens: performances, shows, concerts, artworks, DJ sets and workshops. The exhibition at the Espace Arlaud continues until December 16th.
Two performances will take place in the Quartier du Flon, rue de Genève 19:
- SploachSploach on friday at 11.45 pm to 0.15 pm and saturday at 5.15 to 5.45 pm
SploachSploach is an anti-company for a large family based in Brussels, through which artists come and go. Since January 2018, it has been producing fictional narratives merging performance and installation. With A trio for a household, the collective’s 5th episode, SploachSploach continues its digestion of historical events and cult images by exploring the reversal of space. The initiative tests the reliability of social constructions and reveals the alternative and joyous potentials of bodily language.
- A performance of Astrit Ismaili on saturday at 6 p, to 6.40pm, and sunday from 6 pm to 6.40 pm.
Astrit Ismaili questions the mechanisms of the construction and interpretation of social identities. With The New Body, Astrit Ismaili looks at the manner in which the latter can be heard. Sensors on the artist’s body spark different sound events according to their movements. Their gestures — now become sounds — interact with their voice, allowing us to imagine other ways in which bodies can inhabit a space.
